What does 'explainable' actually mean here?
Every number opens to the drivers behind it, base, trend, seasonality, events for a forecast; lift, returns, and cost for a promo; the full cost stack for a markdown. Each figure reconciles to the one above it, so you can follow the arithmetic rather than accept a verdict.
How accurate is it, really?
We don't wave a single accuracy number at you. You can't verify it. Instead every forecast ships with a confidence band and is backtested against your own history, shown before you trust it, so you can judge the range for yourself.
Can I override what the AI produces?
Always. Adjust any driver or override a number outright; the change is kept in an audit trail, and nothing the AI produces is final until you approve it.
What happens to anomalies like stockouts?
They're excluded from the trend and labelled, so a past stockout doesn't quietly suppress your forecast. You see exactly what was left out and why.
Is my data locked in?
No. Sellcast offers one-click CSV export of your data, part of the same transparency principle. You're never held hostage to keep using it.
